The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Savannah, TN, nurtures passionate individuals to become influential advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through hands-on training and mentorship at the Allegheny Farm, our Fellows gain vital organic food system education while engaging in meaningful community projects. This program empowers them to grow and distribute a variety of crops on market-style farms, implement health-focused educational sessions, maintain community and school gardens, and foster food literacy among students and families. Fellows also support local farmers markets and enhance access to healthy foods by developing innovative distribution channels. After six months of immersive learning, they spend a year applying their knowledge in collaboration with regional non-profits, making a significant impact in their communities. Our program promotes accessibility by charging no tuition, and interested applicants should submit their application by March of the application year for an experience that typically spans from May to October.
