Located in Rogersville, TN, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship at the Allegheny Mountain Institute is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Our fellowship program offers a unique opportunity for selected Fellows to gain hands-on experience in organic agriculture and community-based food initiatives. Throughout their six-month stay at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in innovative projects that include growing diverse crops, developing educational programs on health and nutrition, maintaining community gardens, and supporting local farmers markets. We prioritize accessibility by providing this transformative education without any tuition fees. Following their immersive training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year where they collaborate with regional non-profit organizations to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings. Interested candidates should submit their applications by March, with the fellowship experience typically running from May to October each year, fostering a new generation of leaders dedicated to reshaping our food systems.
