The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Paris, TN, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a food system built on social, environmental, and economic justice. Through an immersive six-month experiential program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows gain comprehensive organic food system education at no cost, ensuring accessibility for all. During their training, they engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops on a market-style farm, leading innovative health care educational sessions, and maintaining school and community gardens. The Fellowship empowers participants to teach food and ecological literacy, support local farmers markets, and develop channels for increasing access to healthy foods. Following their initial training, Fellows transition into a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge and skills in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations to create impactful changes. Applications are accepted until March each year, with programs running from May to October.
