The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Milan, TN, is dedicated to shaping the next generation of advocates and educators for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic sustainability. By offering a tuition-free training program, we ensure that our fellowship is accessible to all aspiring leaders. Our comprehensive approach includes organic food system education, hands-on experiences in growing and distributing diverse crops, and implementing innovative health care educational sessions. Fellows will have the opportunity to maintain community gardens, enhance food and ecological literacy in schools, and support local farmers markets, thereby improving access to nutritious food. After an enriching six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, each Fellow engages in a Community Action Year, putting their training into practice with regional non-profit partners. Applications for this impactful journey should be submitted by March of the application year, with the program running from May to October.
