The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Lebanon, TN, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators for a just and sustainable food system. Through hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm, selected Fellows engage in organic food system education without the burden of tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all. This six-month immersive program equips participants with essential skills to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education, maintain school and community gardens, and foster food literacy in educational settings. Additionally, Fellows actively support local farmers markets and develop distribution channels to enhance access to healthy foods. Following their training, participants embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional nonprofit organizations to extend their impact. Applications are accepted until March each year, with experiences typically held from May to October.
