The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kingston, TN, is dedicated to cultivating a just food system through education, advocacy, and empowerment. This innovative program offers aspiring leaders the opportunity to engage in organic food system education without the burden of tuition, ensuring accessibility for all. Selected Fellows spend six months immersed in hands-on learning at the Allegheny Farm Campus in Highland County, VA, where they gain practical skills in growing and distributing diverse crops, developing community gardens, and promoting food and ecological literacy in schools. The fellowship also facilitates partnerships with regional non-profits to implement health education sessions, support farmers markets, and enhance access to healthy foods for underserved communities. By fostering mentorship and collaboration, we aim to inspire the next generation of advocates dedicated to building a socially, environmentally, and economically equitable food system.
