At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kingsport, TN, we are dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders who advocate for a sustainable and equitable food system. Our fellowship program offers comprehensive training in organic food systems, empowering participants to become effective teachers and advocates for social, environmental, and economic justice in the food landscape. Without charging tuition, we ensure accessibility for all aspiring fellows. Throughout a transformative six-month residency at Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, fellows engage in hands-on experiences that include growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health education sessions, nurturing community and school gardens, and fostering food literacy in educational settings. After the residency, fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to put their training into practice. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience typically running from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to join us in making a meaningful impact on our food systems.
