Through comprehensive, hands-on training, our program empowers selected Fellows to become skilled educators and advocates for sustainable practices. We offer a no-cost tuition model to ensure that our Fellowship is accessible to all. Over a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm, Fellows gain invaluable knowledge in organic food systems, community engagement, and innovative agricultural practices. Our participants collaborate with local partners to grow diverse crops, implement health-focused educational initiatives, maintain community gardens, and enhance food literacy in schools. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, applying their learnings alongside regional non-profit organizations to promote food access and support community food coalitions.
