The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Dayton, TN, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a sustainable and equitable food system. Our Fellowship offers comprehensive, tuition-free training at Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, empowering selected individuals to engage in hands-on education about organic farming and food justice. Throughout the six-month immersive program, Fellows learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement health-focused educational sessions, maintain school and community gardens, and promote ecological literacy in schools. Following their training, participants embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills with local non-profits to develop robust distribution channels for healthy foods and support community food initiatives.
