At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Clarksville, TN, we are dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. Our program empowers fellows to advocate for an equitable, environmentally friendly, and economically viable food culture through hands-on experiences at our partner farms. We offer a comprehensive, tuition-free education focused on organic farming practices, community gardening, and food literacy. Our fellows engage in growing and distributing diverse crops, conducting innovative health education sessions, and supporting local farmers markets. Over six months of immersive study at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants gain practical skills before entering a Community Action Year, where they apply their knowledge with regional non-profits to enhance food access and education. Applications are accepted until March, with our transformative experience typically running from May to October.
