The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Ashland City, TN, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators committed to a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Through our partnership with the Allegheny Mountain Institute, we offer a comprehensive six-month hands-on training program that is fully funded to ensure accessibility for all participants. Our Fellows engage in a variety of impactful activities, including growing and distributing diverse crops on sustainable farms, establishing educational sessions that promote health, maintaining community and school gardens, and integrating food literacy into school curricula. They also play a vital role in bolstering local farmers' markets and developing pathways for greater access to healthy foods. By the end of their Fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings.
