At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Antioch, TN, we empower passionate individuals to transform our food systems into models of social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our comprehensive training program, selected Fellows benefit from tuition-free education in organic farming, food literacy, and community engagement practices that prioritize accessibility and inclusivity. Participants immerse themselves in a six-month, hands-on residency at Allegheny Farm, where they learn to cultivate diverse crops on a market-style farm, implement educational initiatives for healthcare, maintain school and community gardens, and support local farmers markets. After their fellowship, each individual embarks on a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills with regional non-profits to further enhance food access and strengthen community food coalitions. Applications are welcomed annually until March, with experiences running from May through October, inviting those who are committed to making a tangible difference in our food landscape.
