Over the course of six months at the picturesque Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows gain invaluable experience in cultivating and distributing diverse crops, implementing health-focused educational sessions, and maintaining community gardens. They also play a pivotal role in promoting food literacy in schools, supporting farmers' markets, and developing effective channels for healthy food access. After their immersive training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with local non-profits to apply their knowledge and skills for meaningful impact. Applications are due each March, with the program running from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to join in creating a more sustainable and equitable food future.
