Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Mechanicsburg, PA US
At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Mechanicsburg, PA, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food practices. Our program sponsors, trains, and empowers Fellows to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. With no tuition fees, we promote accessibility to our transformative education, which includes comprehensive training in organic food systems. Our Fellows engage directly with community initiatives, collaborating with local partners to cultivate diversified crops, run educational programs on health and nutrition, maintain gardens in schools, and enhance food literacy. By supporting farmers' markets and creating pathways for healthier food access, our Fellows ultimately contribute to regional food coalitions and gain invaluable mentorship experience. The Fellowship encompasses a six-month immersive study at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a significant Community Action Year where our Fellows apply their skills with local non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to make a difference in the field of food assistance.
