Located in Lebanon, PA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship at the Allegheny Mountain Institute is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of food advocates and educators committed to a just food system. Our fellowship program offers an immersive experience in organic food system education, empowering selected fellows to cultivate and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education sessions, manage community gardens, and enhance food literacy in schools. By supporting local farmers markets and developing channels for increased access to healthy foods, fellows play an essential role in improving community food systems. Notably, the fellowship is designed to be accessible, with no tuition fees required. Over six months, fellows engage in hands-on, residential training at our Allegheny Farm Campus before embarking on a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills with regional non-profits. Applications are welcome until March, with the fellowship running from May through October each year.
