The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Hummelstown, PA, is dedicated to fostering a new generation of advocates and educators committed to creating a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically equitable. By offering a tuition-free program, the Fellowship ensures that participants can access vital training in organic food systems, diversified crop production, and innovative community gardening initiatives. Selected Fellows engage in a transformative six-month experiential residency at the Allegheny Farm, followed by a Community Action Year where they collaborate with regional non-profit organizations to implement health-focused educational sessions, support local farmers markets, and develop distribution channels for healthy foods. Our mission is to empower individuals to integrate food and ecological literacy into their communities, ultimately contributing to more robust and sustainable local food networks.
