John Gatto - Innersight

John Gatto, a licensed professional counselor with an MS in Counseling from California University of PA, complements the Innersight family with his extensive experience in various counseling environments. His academic journey began with a BS in Social Work and included a Secondary School Counseling Certificate from the University of Pittsburgh. With years spent in a hospital psychiatric setting and as a Mental Health Consultant, he has honed his skills in both outpatient and school counseling. Most recently, John served as a Guidance Counselor at Somerset Area School District before retiring last year. Specializing in client-centered therapies such as cognitive behavioral, reality, and Rogerian therapies, John is dedicated to helping clients gain insight, empowerment, and the ability to make independent decisions. His approach is deeply rooted in trust and unconditional positive regard, ensuring a healing environment for all clients. By fostering positive relationships and using non-judgmental techniques, John effectively guides individuals through their conflicts and painful experiences, paving the way for greater contentment and peace in their daily lives. Through resolving issues and enhancing insight, he remains committed to facilitating profound healing for each individual he encounters.
