Located in Easton, PA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship empowers participants through hands-on, experiential learning at the Allegheny Farm. We prioritize accessibility by offering tuition-free programs that provide comprehensive education on organic food systems and community engagement. Our Fellows gain practical experience by growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing health-focused educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and promoting food and ecological literacy in schools. Additionally, they actively support farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives while collaborating with regional non-profits during their Community Action Year. Our program runs from May to October, with applications accepted until March each year, ensuring a holistic approach to food assistance and community sustainability.
