Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Based in Dover, PA, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates and educators focused on a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic sustainability. Through sponsorship and comprehensive training, the Fellowship empowers participants at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, offering a tuition-free educational experience to enhance accessibility. Fellows engage in hands-on learning, exploring organic food systems while working alongside community partners to grow and distribute diverse crops, maintain school and community gardens, and foster food literacy within educational frameworks. This impactful program also emphasizes mentoring and collaboration, allowing Fellows to implement innovative healthcare sessions, support farmers markets, and develop channels that increase access to healthy food for all. The Fellowship features a six-month experiential residency followed by a Community Action Year, where Fellows can apply their knowledge with local non-profits, driving meaningful change in their communities. Applications are accepted until March, with the program typically running from May to October.
