The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Camp Hill, PA, is dedicated to cultivating passionate advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship provides training and mentorship to empower participants as educators within their communities. Fellows engage in hands-on learning about organic agriculture and food equity, working collaboratively to grow diverse crops, manage community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy. Through partnerships with regional non-profits, our Fellows also support farmers markets, develop distribution solutions for healthy food access, and facilitate educational programs focused on innovative health care. By eliminating tuition fees, we ensure that our fellowship is accessible to all, fostering a new generation of leaders committed to transforming our food systems. The program spans six months of immersive training at the Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, where skills are put into practice to uplift the community. Applications are welcome until March, with the experience typically running from May to October.
