Patti Anne McAndrews is a licensed professional counselor with over 30 years of experience working with clients and families facing challenges related to mental health and substance abuse. As the clinical director for Adolescent Advocates, an intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment center for adolescents and young adults, she is dedicated to guiding those struggling with substance use. Patti has collaborated extensively with clients experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, eating disorders, dysregulation, trauma, and interpersonal conflict. Furthermore, she supports adults seeking treatment for substance use disorders, helping them and their families cultivate healthy relationships, empowerment, and resilience. Utilizing the principles of Positive Psychology, she assists clients in finding meaning and purpose in their lives. Active participation in treatment is a core aspect of her approach, and she encourages this engagement through Motivational Interviewing. Additionally, Patti incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to assist clients in overcoming negative emotions and behaviors.
