Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Weatherford, OK, is dedicated to nurturing future leaders who are committed to creating a food system that is just, sustainable, and equitable. By sponsoring and training passionate individuals, our program empowers Fellows to become knowledgeable advocates and educators in organic food systems, ecological literacy, and community engagement. Our immersive six-month Farm and Food Study at the Allegheny Farm Campus provides hands-on experience in growing diversified crops, managing community gardens, and promoting food access initiatives. Following this, our Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to implement innovative health-focused educational sessions, support farmers markets, and enhance food distribution channels. We believe that education should be accessible and do not charge tuition, reflecting our commitment to fostering a diverse, empowered community dedicated to food assistance and sustainable practices. Applications are due by March, with the fellowship experience taking place from May to October each year.
