Ashley Simmons

Ashley Ann Simmons is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-S, LADC-CA) with over 15 years of experience in the mental health and substance use field. Since 2007, she has been committed to helping individuals across a wide age range—from toddlers to elders—who face mental health and substance use challenges. Based in the Tishomingo and Ada, OK areas, Ashley engages in a person-centered therapeutic approach that focuses on improving relationships and managing behaviors related to mental health issues. She believes that counseling is essential for everyone and emphasizes the importance of expressing feelings in appropriate ways. In her practice, Ashley utilizes a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Therapy, and Behavior Modification techniques to support her clients in achieving their personal and treatment goals. Her academic journey includes completing her Associate degree with honors from MSC, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation/Elementary Education from SOSU, where she was a member of the Honors ED and the SOSU Rodeo Team. In 2010, she earned her Master’s in Counseling from ECU, followed by a specialization in substance use/abuse in 2014. Ashley takes joy in meeting new people and making a positive impact on their lives.
