Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in Sulphur, OK, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship at Allegheny Mountain Institute is committed to cultivating future leaders in sustainable food systems. By sponsoring and training dedicated individuals, we empower our Fellows to champion a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. This transformative program offers comprehensive organic food system education without any tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all candidates. Throughout the six-month experiential training at our picturesque Allegheny Farm, Fellows engage in hands-on activities that include growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health care educational sessions, and enhancing food literacy in schools. Following this enriching experience, Fellows transition into a Community Action Year, forging impactful partnerships with regional non-profits to promote food assistance initiatives and expand access to healthy food options. Interested applicants may submit their applications by March of each year, with the program typically running from May to October.
