The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Okemah, OK, empowers aspiring leaders to advocate for a just, sustainable food system through a comprehensive, hands-on training program. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, our Fellowship provides a unique opportunity for selected individuals to engage deeply in organic food system education while living and learning on our farm. Over six transformative months, Fellows will cultivate diverse crops, implement community-oriented health education, and enrich local gardens and markets, all while fostering food and ecological literacy in schools. This accessible program supports participants with no tuition costs, enabling them to mentor future Fellows and collaborate with local non-profit organizations during their Community Action Year. Applications for this impactful opportunity are accepted until March each year, with the Fellowship experience running from May to October.
