The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Mannford, OK, is dedicated to cultivating future leaders in sustainable agriculture and food justice. We empower our Fellows through hands-on training and deep-rooted education in organic food systems, ensuring that access to this essential knowledge remains free of charge. Over the course of six immersive months at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected participants engage in a variety of impactful projects, including growing and distributing diversified crops, maintaining community gardens, and teaching food and ecological literacy in schools. Our Fellows also play a vital role in supporting farmers markets and enhancing access to healthy foods through innovative distribution channels. Following their training, they embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to advocate for a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Applications are accepted until March each year, and the fellowship experience typically runs from May to October.
