Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kingston, OK, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture and food justice. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this program empowers selected Fellows through comprehensive, hands-on training in organic food systems, emphasizing social, environmental, and economic justice. Participants engage in a six-month experiential residency at AMI’s Allegheny Farm, followed by a Community Action Year where they apply their knowledge with local non-profits. The Fellowship promotes accessibility by offering a tuition-free model and allows Fellows to cultivate diversified crops, implement innovative health education, maintain community gardens, and increase access to healthy foods. They also collaborate with community food coalitions and mentor future cohorts, ensuring a lasting impact on the local food system.
