Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kingfisher, OK, is dedicated to training and empowering passionate individuals to become advocates for a just food system that emphasizes social, environmental, and economic integrity. This unique fellowship offers hands-on organic food system education without the burden of tuition, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to learn and lead. Our Fellows engage in a transformative six-month experiential program at Allegheny Farm, where they gain valuable skills in growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health care educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food literacy into educational settings. Additionally, they support local farmers markets and help develop channels that increase access to healthy food. Following their immersive training, each Fellow participates in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to make a direct impact. Applications are welcomed until March each year, with the experience typically running from May to October, fostering a community of informed leaders ready to champion sustainable practices in food systems.
