Located in Idabel, OK, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating passionate advocates for a just food system through comprehensive training and experiential learning. This program empowers fellows to engage in organic food education and work collaboratively with community partners to address local food needs. Participants will gain hands-on experience in growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health initiatives, maintaining community gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy into educational settings. The Fellowship also fosters support for farmers markets and develops distribution channels to enhance access to healthy food options. Over the course of six months at the Allegheny Farm Campus, fellows will immerse themselves in sustainable farming practices followed by a Community Action Year where they’ll put their knowledge into practice alongside regional non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted through March each year, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
