The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Henryetta, OK, is dedicated to cultivating the next generation of advocates and educators committed to a just food system. This transformative program offers an accessible, tuition-free approach to organic food system education, empowering Fellows with the skills to lead initiatives that promote social, environmental, and economic justice. Throughout a six-month, hands-on experience at our farm campus, participants engage in diverse activities such as growing and distributing crops, developing school and community gardens, and enhancing food and ecological literacy in educational settings. Our Fellows also collaborate with local partners to support farmers markets and create sustainable distribution channels, ensuring increased access to healthy foods within the community. Following their intensive training, Fellows participate in a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge through partnerships with regional non-profit organizations, thus making a tangible impact in community food initiatives. Applications are open until March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
