Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Duncan, OK US
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Duncan, OK, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. This transformative program offers participants a unique opportunity to engage directly in organic food system education without the burden of tuition, ensuring accessibility for all. Fellows will participate in hands-on experiences that include growing and distributing diverse crops on market-style farms, maintaining community gardens, and running educational workshops on food and ecological literacy. They will also support initiatives such as farmers markets and community food coalitions, creating pathways to enhance access to healthy foods. Over the six-month experiential training on our farm campus, and during their subsequent Community Action Year, selected Fellows will collaborate with local non-profits to apply their learning and promote sustainable practices throughout the region. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the experience typically spanning from May to October.
