The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Coweta, OK, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just, sustainable food system. Our program empowers Fellows through comprehensive training that emphasizes social, environmental, and economic equity within food systems. We provide an accessible, tuition-free experience that fosters organic food education and hands-on practice. Selected Fellows immerse themselves in a six-month, experiential residency where they learn to cultivate and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education, maintain community gardens, and enhance food and ecological literacy within local schools. They also support farmers markets and direct-to-consumer initiatives while developing vital distribution channels to improve access to healthy foods. Following their immersive training, Fellows engage in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge deeply within the community. Interested individuals should apply by March, with the Fellowship experience spanning from May to October each year.
