Located in Blackwell, OK, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to training and empowering future leaders in the quest for a just food system. By focusing on social, environmental, and economic equity, our program offers a unique opportunity for selected Fellows to engage deeply in organic food system education. Through hands-on experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, conduct innovative health care educational sessions, and maintain community and school gardens. Our curriculum emphasizes food and ecological literacy, supporting sustainable practices like farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs. This transformative Fellowship spans six months of immersive training followed by a Community Action Year where Fellows apply their skills in partnership with regional non-profits. We believe education should be accessible; therefore, we do not charge tuition, allowing everyone passionate about food justice to participate. Applications are open until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
