The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Bixby, OK, is dedicated to nurturing passionate individuals who aspire to champion a food system rooted in social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive training and hands-on experience, our Fellows learn to advocate for sustainable practices and gain expertise in organic food systems. Participants benefit from a unique six-month residency at AMI’s Allegheny Farm Campus, where they engage in practical education, including growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and leading innovative educational initiatives in health care and food literacy. With no tuition costs, we ensure accessibility for all aspiring advocates. The journey continues with a Community Action Year, empowering Fellows to apply their knowledge with local non-profit partners to enhance food access and strengthen community food initiatives. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October, providing transformative opportunities to impact food systems locally and beyond.
