Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Altus, OK, is dedicated to training and empowering passionate individuals to become advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through a comprehensive six-month experiential program at the Allegheny Farm, Fellows gain in-depth organic food system education, equipping them to influence their communities positively. Our initiative focuses on fostering access to healthy foods by growing and distributing diverse crops, supporting local farmers markets, and integrating food and ecological literacy into educational settings. We prioritize inclusivity by offering this transformative fellowship without tuition fees, enabling a diverse range of participants to engage in activities such as maintaining community gardens and collaborating with local non-profits. The fellowship culminates in a Community Action Year, where Fellows put their skills into practice within their communities, driving meaningful change and promoting food justice.
