Grocery Bag Program

The Grocery Bag Program in Cuyahoga Falls, OH, is dedicated to fighting hunger by providing nutritious meals and essential food assistance to those in need. Operated by the Good Samaritan Hunger Center, we offer hot meals and grocery bags at community centers throughout Akron area neighborhoods, welcoming everyone with open arms. Our services ensure that all adults from present households can receive groceries and soup, with no limit on the number of visits. To utilize our services, one member of each household simply needs to sign a form confirming they are at or below the poverty level according to The Emergency Food Assistance Program guidelines. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we prioritize safety by providing food on a First Come, First Served basis while patrons remain in their vehicles for a drive-by service, making it easier for our community to access the crucial resources they need.
