Dr. Sara Steinberg is a compassionate, collaborative, and goal-focused psychologist who approaches therapy with a warm and nonjudgmental style. She understands that feeling stuck can make change difficult, and she is dedicated to helping clients learn new coping skills to enhance their mood, relationships, and reduce stress. With a belief in supportive and individualized care, Dr. Steinberg works diligently to equip each person with the tools needed to achieve their desired goals. Specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders, stress, parenting challenges, mood disorders, and relationship difficulties, she is committed to providing guidance to adolescents, adults, families, and couples. Dr. Steinberg is particularly passionate about supporting individuals through life transitions, including postpartum depression and anxiety, beginning college, or starting a new job. She has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with the incorporation of mindfulness techniques in her practice. In addition to her therapeutic work, she is an instructor on the faculty at Weill Medical College of Cornell, where she mentors future professionals.
