Terry Watson

Terry Watson, MA, CMT, LCAT, MS, SP ED, is a seasoned art and music therapist with over 30 years of experience. She specializes in working with very young children through young adults aged 21, both individually and in small group settings. Her career includes impactful work in group homes for medically fragile and behaviorally challenged children. In New York City, she was among the pioneering music therapists to serve in a NICU and PICU, where she skillfully addressed a wide range of challenging issues through the healing power of music therapy. Terry is committed to meeting her clients in the moment, entering each session with a clear understanding of their abilities and the aspirations parents have for their children. Utilizing the DIR Floortime approach complemented by various therapeutic techniques, she values collaboration within clinical teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of her young clients. Recognizing the vital role of parents and caregivers, Terry strives to incorporate them into the music therapy process.
