During her tenure as a mental health worker at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, she effectively assisted clients through crisis management using prevention techniques and coping skills. In these challenging times, Blerita has provided a comforting and compassionate presence to clients affected by COVID-19. Her therapeutic style is person-centered; she attentively listens to clients' concerns and utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help identify patterns of thinking, ultimately collaborating with clients to develop solutions to minimize unsettling feelings and outline steps forward. Outside of her professional life, Blerita is passionate about hiking, having conquered mountains in Iceland and several locations across the Westchester area, often accompanied by her two dogs.
