In Jamaica, NY, the Free Meals program, operated by the New York City Department of Education, is dedicated to ensuring that every New Yorker can access three free meals each day, regardless of their circumstances. With over 400 Meal Hubs conveniently located throughout the city, this initiative stands ready to provide nutritious Grab-and-Go meals for individuals and families alike. Serving from 7:30 am to 11:30 am for children and families and from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm for adults, our welcoming service ensures no one will be turned away. Each individual can collect three meals at once, with a variety of options, including vegetarian, halal, and kosher choices available at select locations. While there is no dining space on-site, meals can be conveniently taken to enjoy off-premises. There are no registration requirements or identification needed, and parents and guardians are encouraged to pick up meals for their children.
