Free Meals

Free Meals is a crucial initiative in Far Rockaway, NY, spearheaded by the New York City Department of Education to ensure that every New Yorker has access to healthy and nutritious food. We provide three free meals daily to anyone in need, serving over 400 Meal Hubs throughout the city. Our Grab-and-Go meals are prepared with care, offering vegetarian, halal, and kosher options at various locations to accommodate diverse dietary needs. The Meal Hubs are open for families and children from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM, and for adults from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. There is no registration or ID required, and parents and guardians can pick up meals for their children, ensuring nobody goes hungry.
