MOVE! Weight Management Program

MOVE! Weight Management Program in Bay Shore, NY, is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of Veterans through effective weight management and health promotion strategies. Our mission is to annually screen every Veteran receiving care at VA facilities for obesity and connect them with tailored weight management services that meet their unique needs and preferences. We offer a variety of options including group sessions, telephone lifestyle coaching, and our innovative TeleMOVE! service for in-home support. Veterans can also take advantage of the MOVE! Coach mobile app for self-directed weight management. For those facing ongoing challenges, we provide access to weight loss medications and bariatric surgery after they have participated in our program.
