Free Meals

In Astoria, NY, Free Meals, a vital initiative by the New York City Department of Education, ensures that every New Yorker can access three nutritious meals each day. With over 400 Meal Hubs citywide, our program offers grab-and-go meals designed to feed both families and individuals without any barriers. We welcome all community members to join us from 7:30 am to 11:30 am for children and families, or from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm for adults. There are no enrollment requirements or ID necessary—everyone is encouraged to pick up meals as needed, including parents gathering meals for their children. Our Meal Hubs provide vegetarian options at all locations, with halal and kosher selections available at select sites.
