Deborah Gary

Deborah Gary, MS, LMHC, is a Board-Certified Professional Counselor and a Trauma Specialist with extensive experience in treating individuals and families facing mental health and family-related challenges. She is honored to guide clients through life's adversities, leveraging her expertise as a professor, trainer, public speaker, and published researcher. Deborah teaches college students and provides training for child welfare and youth workers, as well as mental health and medical professionals, focusing on effective strategies for working with families. Her teaching areas include trauma and child brain development, substance abuse, sexual abuse, human trafficking, ethics, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Deborah also specializes in treating children and adults who have experienced trauma, abuse, and sexual trauma, with focused expertise in addressing depression, anxiety, PTSD, and addictive disorders. With a commitment to helping individuals, groups, families, and adolescents, she has accumulated significant experience in overcoming life's challenges. Deborah's diverse experiences working with multicultural individuals and families throughout the country have deepened her understanding of human suffering, viewed through a multifaceted spiritual, cultural, and societal lens.
