Charlene Gordon

Charlene Gordon is a dedicated licensed social worker who graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Montclair State University in 2002. She furthered her education at the Graduate School of Social Work at Rutgers University, where she completed her Master’s degree in 2016. Currently on track to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker under the supervision of an experienced clinical social worker, Charlene has accumulated valuable experience providing therapy in sub-acute and short-term residential substance use and co-occurring treatment programs for both men and women. Her expertise extends to working with incarcerated individuals grappling with addiction, depression, and anxiety, using evidence-based practices to foster healing and resilience. Recently, she served as the Clinical Team Leader for a behavioral health agency, where she delivered individual counseling to individuals facing various mental health challenges. Charlene's approach is empathetic and nonjudgmental, focusing on helping individuals navigate everyday life stressors. She employs a strengths perspective, empowering her clients to recognize and utilize their inherent gifts to promote positive change in their lives.
