Monica Carsky, PhD, is a dedicated psychologist with a rich background in supporting adults and elders through various psychological challenges, particularly those related to depression, relationship issues, and personality disorders. Her therapeutic approach fosters a safe and open environment, encouraging individuals to explore their thoughts and feelings. By examining a patient's moment-to-moment experiences, she helps unveil how internal assumptions shape their daily lives. Monica's extensive training in psychodynamic and supportive therapy equips her to assist those facing anxiety, depression, intimacy issues, and self-defeating patterns. She incorporates cognitive and behavioral techniques where appropriate, enhancing her clients' coping skills. As a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Psychiatry Department at Weill-Cornell Medical College, Monica also imparts her knowledge to advanced students in graduate and post-graduate training programs.
