Abby Maitland is a highly skilled Clinical Social Worker and Therapist, holding MSW, LCSW, and LISW-S credentials. With a diverse age range of clients including toddlers, children aged 6 to 10, teens, and adults, she expertly addresses issues such as sexual abuse, trauma, and PTSD. Abby takes pride in offering professional expertise wrapped in warmth and personal attention, ensuring that each client's experience is maximized. Her tailored approaches to therapy meet the unique needs of each individual, particularly for children resistant to therapy or involved in the court system. Notably, she is the only clinician in the greater NYC area certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) by the Neurosequential Network. With over 11 years of experience working alongside Dr. Bruce Perry and the ChildTrauma Academy, Abby specializes in complex and developmental trauma, utilizing techniques such as EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and family systems therapy. In addition to her private practice, Abby serves as a Trauma Trainer and Educator, conducting international training sessions, including at the prestigious Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa.
