Bergen Volunteer Medical Initiative (BVMI) is dedicated to providing compassionate primary and preventive healthcare services to adults in Teaneck, NJ, ages 18 and over. Our mission is to ensure accessible healthcare for those who meet our financial and medical qualifications. Upon joining our program, each new patient undergoes a comprehensive initial screening, including blood work to assess diabetes, cholesterol levels, thyroid function, and HIV, along with a urinalysis and vital signs check, such as blood pressure. Following this thorough evaluation, patients are paired with a caring primary care physician who conducts a complete physical examination. Based on the assessment, we offer personalized care that may involve additional testing, medications, or referrals to specialists when necessary. Our wide-ranging services include physical examinations, sick visits, blood work, nutrition coaching, counseling, Women's Health Packages, diabetes care, and chronic disease management.
