Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors

Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors is a dedicated parenting skills and advocacy program located in Somerset, NJ, designed specifically for Latino parents of children aged 0 to 5. With a commitment to empowering families, this national evidence-based initiative provides a series of 10 interactive workshops that educate parents on their crucial role as their child's first teacher and advocates in the educational journey. Covering essential topics such as nutrition, positive discipline, child development, school readiness, and the effective use of technology, our program draws from real-life experiences to create impactful learning opportunities. Offered in both virtual and in-person formats, these workshops are free of charge and available to Latino parents residing in Middlesex County and Franklin Township. By completing the program, parents may also train to become facilitators themselves, further enhancing their community engagement and support.
