Aliza Auslander

Aliza Auslander is a dedicated clinical social worker and therapist, passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate the profound effects of trauma. She recognizes that traumatic experiences can leave a lingering impact, manifesting as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or complex PTSD (CPTSD), which may persist for months or even years. Aliza assists her clients in reclaiming their vitality and establishing meaningful connections with themselves, others, and their inner selves. Her eclectic therapeutic approach is anchored in Somatic Experiencing (SE), a body-oriented method developed by Dr. Peter Levine. By fostering a connection with the body and encouraging trust in its healing capacity, Aliza guides clients in addressing the residual trauma that can reside in their nervous systems. This work empowers individuals to process challenging emotions such as anger, guilt, or shame, alongside physical manifestations like chronic pain, headaches, and sleep disturbances. Aliza's clients include survivors of domestic and sexual violence, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people from diverse backgrounds.
